Safety Controls
SAFETY CONTROLS (GATES DON'T CLOSE)
Pressure adjustment as standard is already included on most automatic gate systems.
A minimum of one form of safety cover is strongly recommended on every automatic gate or barrier system.
The design and use of the entrance should be considered when choosing adequate safety cover.

The safety controls protect their own areas, and it is, therefore, sometimes necessary to use more than one control or type of control to protect a larger area. The method of logic chosen may or may not highlight the need for safety cover, however, it is strongly recommended that at least one safety device be installed.
Most safety devices do not prevent the gates from opening - only closing. Therefore pressure settings and pivot/pinch points need to be adequately protected.
Because gate systems generally move at a controlled pace, some form of warning is evident unlike the wind catching your front door or your children's fingers in a household cupboard. Please educate users and children accordingly.
