Automatic Gates Free Repair Quotes

We are often asked: Do we carry out free repair quotes? Our answer is simple: No, we cannot afford to send engineers out to give free quotes.

Why? Is the usual reply. Every engineer arrives on site in a fully equipped mobile workshop that costs a lot of money to tool and stock. Also each engineer is in great demand and is needed to attend to customers sites without delay. If we were to waste time giving free quotes, we would have to charge more for standard work, to our loyal customers and that, we feel, is not fair!

How can I get a free quote? Unfortunately we do not give quotations to anyone as it is company practise not to fix prices on any installation or repair projects, due to countless variations experienced and unforeseen issues (often driven by the customer).

What about a free estimate? Yes, we can give free estimates but only when we have a surveyor available in the area. Sales surveyors are able to give an estimate to most project requests and repairs. They will make assumptions based upon years of direct engineering experience. However, their offers are subject to conditions and assumptions that may affect the final invoice value, all of which would be justified and explained as and when they become evident.

Ordering a chargeable service call is often the best and less costly course of action overall. It is the fastest service that gives more accurate costing on repair recommendations.

Taking on other installers work is an everyday activity that has additional demands and complications due to the variety of products and methods used, as well as vastly varying designs and processes undertaken by each firm employed.

To safeguard both our customers and ourselves, every site visited for the first time has to have a ‘System Report’ written up, that states what is found and records all evident technical detail, with photos, for reference and correspondence. This information is held in an individual system file with a unique reference number.

All work carried out, including recommendations and prices, are held on file, together with any copy correspondence and information relevant to the system, part of which is the ‘safe system’ review that is carried out with the system report and is an essential part of our customer service.
